ICYMI – Here is what’s happening in area theatre this weekend

I don’t know about anyone else, but this has been one heck of a week and I am more than ready for the weekend.  But before I begin my R&R, I wanted to give a quick recap of what you have to look forward to in theatre for the weekend, just in case you may have missed getting something on your calendar.  So here we go…

  • Kingsport Theatre Guild – Little Women opens Friday, May 5th on the Mainstage at the Kingsport Renaissance Center for the Arts.  Information regarding show times and tickets prices can be found here.
  • Johnson City Community Theatre – auditions for All Shook Up will be held Saturday, May 6th and Sunday, May 7th starting at 7:00 p.m.  If you would like additional information, you can visit their website or send them an email
  • Greeneville Theatre Guild – auditions for Urinetown: the Musical will be held Sunday, May 8th at 2:00 p.m. and Monday, May 9th at 6:00 p.m.  For additional information, please visit the GTG website.

I think that covers everything for this weekend.  Get on out there and enjoy a show and give auditions a go.  You may just surprise yourself and land a really great role!

One last thing before I go…KTG is also seeking Directors, Music Directors, Choreographers, Stage Managers, and Technical Directors for it’s new season.  All are paid positions and interested parties are asked to submit resumes to kingsporttheatreguild@gmail.com and include any show preferences.

Best wishes!
